There’s More

I had a dream…

…And I was in a place where the skies were florescent pink,

My feet were sunken into the moisty sand of a sun-kissed beach.

I looked to the edge of the sea,

And as my eyes looked down,

I realised I was 3.

My hands were little, my feet so small.

Stood on the edge of that Island.

I couldn’t see anyone else at all.

I glanced up again to see the skyline,

silhouetted with clouds,

Suddenly the clouds gave way, fleeing to both sides.

Out of sight, out of bounds.

Then a great hand came through the sky and reached down to grab me,

To hold me,

To protect me,

To take me away…

My hands stretched out before me to shield my face,

The great light, it took me!

Beyond the boundaries of the human race.

Beyond the boundaries of this world’s atmosphere,

Beyond the sight of humanity, until…

“Wait. Where are we going?

Are we almost near?”

Embracing the sky,

Yet unable to take it in.

Where was I going? What will I see?

Who could’ve known our God could be so wild and free.

Unfathomable, unspeakable was that light before me,

Oh so overwhelming, so much that I screamed,

“Stop! No more!”

It was beyond what I could believe.

All of a sudden, on my bed I awoke abruptly,

Still with the heaviness in my breaths,

The wind of the atmosphere running through my lungs,

And my heart racing  in my chest.

Then a still small whisper passed through my ear,

“Sometimes I want to bring my people to know the deeper things, but oh how they do fear!”

These strange visions caused me to wonder, to sit down and think,

When the Father speaks are we always willing to hear?

Have you ever wondered if there if there is more than what you see? Some have heard that…

“The things which are seen are temporary. But it is the things which are unseen that are eternal”

-2Corinthians 4:18

Trees will decay, buildings will wear away. Even the flesh that we live in will become dust again. It is our souls that are eternal. And God, who is eternal. There will be a day when all things will pass away. The sky will be rolled up like a scroll and every mountain and island will be removed form its place. Then He will return.

Yes, Jesus will return.
